Cool houses, sun, the beach, good pizza and a nice pool. That's all I ever need. Oh, and a bike. Heaven.
Seaside Florida
Our cottage was called Summertime. It was actually the second place we stayed. The first place I had booked (all my fault...really it is...I hate making mistakes!) was awful. Well, if you were one of the several teenagers who saw it, then you thought it was AWESOME. It was, by teenager standards. (And I didn't take photos...I don't want to remember it!)
A couple cute bedrooms:
Around town:
I must pace myself.
And catch up with laundry.
looks like true paradise!
ReplyDeleteI love that little town!! I've never stayed there but drove through for an afternoon drive last year while in Florida. I can't wait for more pictures now :)

ReplyDeletesarah it looks so cool!!!! I'm glad you had fun. katie
ReplyDeleteGood for you not staying in the first rental where you would have been miserable and totally on edge. The Summertime cottage looks magical...exactly what I would imagine a vacation in Florida should look like.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful vacation-- it makes me want to start throwing flip-flops and swimsuits into bags and convincing my husband we need to book plane tickets!
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a great trip (and I'm glad you were able to get out of your rental). We leave for Destin in just month and I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteOh ! I am so jealous ! We live close to SeaSide ( about 4 hours away). I have never stayed there, just toured and drooled ! Do you have a way of getting good deals on the cottages ? It is a photographers dream too ! Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteSarah, I like to refer to post vacation as "re-entry". When we returned last week it was almost painful (we had visited my parents who are both recuperating from cancer & missing them was HARD). The first day back I found out we had 2 soccer games & a practice that night!! I just kept repeating my little mantras (it will be ok, it will be ok, it will be ok!)Now a week later I feel like a new woman. You will too. Thanks for the pics~I have heard amazing things about Seaside & hope to check it out in the future. We were in S. Florida & the Keys. Very beautiful, too.
ReplyDeleteWe love Seaside - it just sucks.you.in. Lately we've been going to Anna Maria Island on the gulf - but it doesn't have all the pretty eyecandy for houses. Beautiful shots. Now go clean something ;)
ReplyDeleteUmm, Patrick, I am trying not to get jealous, but with your good looks and that slamming suit, the girls must have been all over you!
ReplyDeleteHmmph,
Maggie
I want that to be my permanant home!

ReplyDeleteI HATE the way I feel when I re-emerge (how the heck do you spell that) back to life after vacation, especially when we had a great family time! This looks so amazing. Hang in there, in a week you will feel like you never even got away. ;)

Alright those pictures did it. This is our next family vacation destination. We're still dealing with below freezing temps here. So it was nice to see all the colours and sun. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe are heading to Seaside Oregon for our first family vacation on Friday! So excited!!!! I hope our beach house is warm and inviting too. Your post made me breathe, thanks :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I would move by a beach in a heartbeat if my hubby would agree to it. Imagine your free time spent around a quaint little beach town or at the beach while your husband is at work. Heaven (times infinity). Would you be willing to tell me where you found that place? I'd love to take my family there. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHeaven!!
