My parents still have all our Fisher Price toys and our kids love to play with them when we are over. Just last week my parent's puppy ATE our silo. Scraps of that red and white striped cardboard were all over the floor. Ahhhh!
You have the parking garage! I had that when I was little and loved that thing! I love to see stuff that reminds me of my childhood because, for some reason, I don't remember a lot. :( Your Patrick is a cutie. :)
Pretty creative use of the silo ~ Patrick is adorable! My brothers and I would spend hours playing with our FP playsets ~ such fun times! My parents still have all of ours and our kids love them as much as we did :)
I love Fisher Price Little People new and old. When my kids were real little I purchased the vintage house and school.....I think more for me then them. I found myself buying lots of the newer little people too. It's now in storage ): I will save all for when they have kiddos.
I LOVE your blog. I've been reading for several months and there are so many posts where I've nodded my head, yes, yes, yes. I love your writing and you've echoed my thoughts many times.
Of course, leave it to Vintage Fisher Price to inspire me to post. I also LOVE vintage FP! The garage/parking ramp that is in your pictures above was my favorite, favorite toy and am so sad that my parents got rid of it along with other vintage FP. I am buying one and will play with it if my kids don't want to. :)
Oh how I wish I still had *my* fisher-price toys. Especially the Castle and the town. *sigh*
However, I did get the record player for my youngest boys ( and had to keep saying 'these are records, not cds) and a vintage fisher-price school desk. And? they are loving it!
I love the old ones the best. I kept several of our pieces and gave them to our kids who now have kids of their own. I also loved the little doll house that went with the barn. Hugs- Diana
Mom still has the barn & silo and a few barn animals, though most of their ears or legs have been gnawed on by her shi-tzu. Naughty puppy! They've supplied hours of entertainment for all our own children. But with your little pro football kicker, I'm not sure your silo has much of a chance! :)
Love the pictures! Being a mommy to 3 little boys, I think they are just wonderful!...and creative. We picked up the garage and a village with all the people at a garage sale this summer for $2.00.
I just found your blog today, and I LOVE it! I've ready every post down to this point, I started to comment on one further back, not sure what it was now, but this one I have to! I love the vintage LP. They were my favorite as a child. My brother & I played with them every single day for hours. My mom still has some of them. I see some in your pictures that we had & still have. I searched last year for the Main Street & found one in like new condition in the original box! I got it for the kids for Christmas & it was a hit! Loving your blog, I'm hooked!
When our first baby was placed in my arms I knew there was no place I wanted to be other than home with him every day. Twenty five years, and five more babies later, (six children, now ages 27-7), I still feel the same. I can’t imagine a more challenging, fulfilling, rewarding “job” than being a mom. It truly is a vocation, and I feel blessed beyond measure. See more in About Me tab at top of page.
