Gratitude for the Week

This week I am grateful for:

1. My husband, who has endless energy and loves being a father.
2. September! Beautiful weather, with a tiny hint of the smell of autumn in the air.
3. Nicer-than-pie neighbors.  They are priceless aren't they?
4. My in-laws who welcome all of their children and grandchildren to their wonderful house, and feed them, and supply them with a great big yard, a beautiful pool, and fun for all ages every single weekend.

  2. My father has coached Cross-Country every year since I was 14. (I'm 40 now). I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for a dedicated Cross-Country coach.

  3. I've always done seasons for my headers and I sometimes have a hard time keeping up with that! Yours is perfect for Fall!! Love it. Beautiful scenery in those pictures. Have a great weekend Sarah!

  6. I am grateful that my power has been restored after 5 days and the sweet sound of the washing machine will be heard all day today. I am grateful for my mom who opened her home, even though she too had no power, for hot showers. I am grateful for friends and family and neighbors who checked in with each other. I am especially grateful that we all weathered Hurricane Irene without significant loss - we are safe and our home is intact and those 2 things make the week of inconvenience insignificant.

  12. My girls ran cross country both in junior high and high school. What a devoted bunch of coaches and athletes. I have a warm spot in my heart for both!

What a great post. Love the gratitude and it was a gentle reminder to me to get back to my gratitude journal.

Have a lovely holiday weekend with your beautiful family.

  13. I love how your blog, showing your lovely life and family, makes me happy and thankful for my own crazy (and lovely) life and family. I'm grateful for fall too--in September in Seattle we have the best Indian summers!

  14. A hint of Autumn in the air? Boy am I jealous, none of that here in Arizona. Just a dry, 115* heat. Wondering if it will ever end? Until then I will live vicariously through you blog! Love the new header btw.

  16. I love your fall header and the pictures in it. Also, thanks for sharing your schedule. I sat down with pencil and paper, inspired by your schedule, and came up with one for my day. I love the feeling following it gives me; I'm no longer 'floating' through my day. Love it! Also, thanks for always sharing what you're reading. I love a good book idea! Have a great weekend, tara

  17. I am grateful that I ran across an article about a book called Where Children Sleep. It turned my yuck day around and I was counting blessing left and right!...eye opening. I instantly found a site to purchase it. I figured it would be a great tool to use for when my kids are old enough to complain about not having enough.
