Isn't he so cute? or should I say 'Isn't she so cute?'
That is a little photo of our baby.
Our sixth.
I am almost 18 weeks pregnant and due on August 20th.
We will find out then if he or she is the correct pronoun.
We are over-the-moon happy.
So exciting!!! Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteAs a faithful follower, I'd like to say WOW!!! Congratulations. I am so happy for you. I have six myself but you are such a wonderful mother and I admire you.
ReplyDeleteSarah!!!!!! I don't even know you and am so incredibly thrilled for you! I have tears in my eyes. Congratulations!!! How wonderful.
ReplyDeleteFantastic news! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteyaaaaaahoo! HOW EXCITING! WHAT A JOY! this is so cool..congratulations to you, your husband, and the whole family! We are just 3 weeks apart!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the nesting phase of pregnancy came just in time for the 40 bags in 40 days!
No way! I will live vicariously through you; that is awesome news!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic news! Congratulations! I just gave birth about 11 days ago to our sixth... Babies are the best!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! What exciting news for your family. And honestly, my first thought was what a blessed baby to get to come to your wonderful family. I hope you are feeling well. (And selfishly, I hope you will continue blogging because your blog is such an inspiration to me!)
ReplyDeletebest news i've heard for a while. congrats and hooray for you for having your priorities right where they should be and not being afraid to do so...but being happy about it.
ReplyDeleteDear Sarah I am ao happy for you!
ReplyDeleteYou have not been very active in the blog and now I know the explanation for it! I love every single post here! Can't wait to hear about the sex of the baby! Congratulations to you and the whole family! How does it feel sending one to college and having a new baby arriving almost the same time??
Congratulations! I just want to let you know that I really love what you have to say. I love when you tell it like it is. Your prior post was great and makes me feel much better about my own parenting techniques. As my children grow older I find myself saying no more often than not to all the many things that take me away from them (even those things that are good) because, like you said, bottom line is they need me. You should read this talk from one of my church leaders. It really puts things in perspective and I think you'll like it: http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2007/10/good-better-best?lang=eng&query=good+better+best
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all your thoughts with us random, unknown to you, mothers out there.
Heidi and Evie are as far apart as Isaac and new baby. Let me just tell you that, as hard as it is, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I know how hard this journey has been for you, and I am so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteMy heartfelt congratulations. And just let me tell you, having a baby in your 40s is hard. But so worth it.
Congrats! What a lucky little baby!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! That's so exciting!
ReplyDeleteI faithfully read your blog, I love it and you have been so good to answer questions for me, so I just had to comment on this post, wow, that is so exciting and so fun. Congrats!!! I have 5, but I don't think I could do 6, I really admire you for that.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your family! My children are spaced out and I must say I love it. I will never have to feel the sting of an empty nest and neither will you! What a blessing a new baby is!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful news! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing for that baby to come to your family. :)
Join the ranks of a mother of 6.
You will be great.
Congrats! That little one will be so lucky to call you mother.
ReplyDeleteI am so very thrilled for you!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting, Sarah! I am truly happy for you! This little baby is joining such a special family and a truly special mom.

I am over-the-moon happy for you...forget Beyonce and Jay Z. Sarah from Clover Lane is my celebrity of choice and I am so happy! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! So thrilled for you! I have to tell you, I am the oldest of seven kids, my baby sister was born the summer before I went to college. She's 16 now and we just have the best, best relationship. There's a special bond there, even though we never really lived in the same house. It's all kinds of fabulous.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! That is such exciting news. I'm due about three weeks after you and we too are going to wait to find out the sex of our baby. Have you waited with all of yours? This is our third and our first time waiting to find out gender. I'm so excited!

ReplyDeleteI just wish there was a "Like" button for everyone's comments, because I agree wholeheartedly with everyone! I've been a loyal reader for a couple of years, but I don't think I've ever commented. But this warrants a comment! Congratulations. I don't "know" you, but I'm so excited for you!!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm so happy for you, and so thrilled for the sweet baby that is lucky enough to be born into your home. This is such exciting news. I am hoping and praying for number 4 to join our family soon. Sadly, I don't think my body is going to hold out for six.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! All the best to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThis makes ME over the moon happy too and it's strange cause I have no idea who you are...but you inspire me on a weekly basis...you put thoughts in my head that make me happy, confident, feel validated, and pumped. ReplyDeleteSo happy for you...
Oh wow! I was too wondering about the "raising 5 kids... So far" was funny. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI am 40, have four children, and I don't believe our family is complete. If Heavenly Father believes I can raise one more...it'll happen. Your sweet announcement today gives me more of an assurance that it will happen! I took that as a sign! God Bless you, and I pray many blessings upon you and your family. Children are truly a blessing! Congrats!

I faithfully read your blog but NEVER comment. Couldn't resist. I'm 29 weeks pregnant, 37 years old and been struggling to get pregnant for almost 4 years. Therefore, my older two will be 6 and 8 when this baby is born. I was a little worried about the 'gap' - as it seems everyone's family has the perfect 2,4,6,8 spread these days!! I've read your post about having kids far apart in ages many times and it had been such an encouragement! I only hope we can have at least 1 more after this.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Blessings to you, your family and the new little baby!!
What a great surprise to read your news this morning!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all of you - what a wonderful gift to give your children ~ a new sibling!
(*I'm guessing a GIRL, btw!)
I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU GUYS!!!! how cool is that. a baby to snuggle... precious. congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteSarah! Yay! So happy for you! Congrats. You have to give us more details..... what do the kids think? So so so happy. What a lucky baby he/she is to be coming to your family.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I loved yesterday's post. So appropriate and so what I needed at that time.
Get some rest momma!
WHAAAAAAT?!!!
ReplyDeleteI am almost as shocked as when I found out I was having my fifth!! (He just turned 3 months)
I don't know if you remember but a couple of years ago I emailed you about having a fifth. And you were so kind and emailed me back about how much you loved it and you wished you could have one more but it wasn't in the cards. Well, well, well! I am so glad everything is ok and I hope your feeling well!
I am so happy for you!!!!! Didn't it make sending Patrick off to pre-school less devastating? (I know because I felt the same way when I sent Connor off) It is so different having them apart.
Now that I read this post (by the way your blog is my homepage on my computer and I am pretty sure that my husband is going to ban me from the computer once he finds out) I am going to have to listen to my inner voice that keeps telling me not to get rid of all my little girl clothes that I have been packing up. Maybe just wait and see...
Please be sure to write a post about telling the kids! I would love to know what their/Jeff's reaction was!
I can't believe you will be literally sending one "off" as a new one comes! I am already am getting teared up thinking about it. No worries, we will all be here to support you!!
Sorry so long...just so excited!!!
Congratulations!
Congratulations! I'm expecting my 2nd just a few weeks before you. Your thoughts about parenting and family are such an inspiration to me. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Sarah!! You are a wonderful MOther and I love reading your sweet blog! you are a great wxample of Motherhood. I too am the Mother of 5 and often think about one more baby even though i have a 9th grader and my baby is turning 5 soon:) Babies are such a gift!! I couldn't be happier for you!!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH!!! CONGRATS!! so exciting!! hope you are feeling well!!
ReplyDeleteAnd all this time you let me be sick, pregnant, cranky mom alone?? Oh, I'm so excited for you all ... Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you that I was so touched by your honesty regarding your previous miscarriages. I am currently pregnant (Due Aug 16 - close to you!), but had 3 miscarriages leading up to this pregnancy after a completely normal prior pregnancy. Reading your story not only gave me good information, but made me feel like I wasn't so alone in that terrible journey. Thanks for your honesty & candor.
Congrats again!
Congrats! I don't know you personally, but I feel like I do from reading your blog, and I am so excited for you!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!!'. What a lovely surprise announcement! Congratulations to you and your family.

ReplyDeleteAdrienne
What really lovely news. Congratulations to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Our fifth is due two days after yours and we won't be finding out the sex either. Much more fun that way! Here's to a healthy baby and easy pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled to hear your exciting news. You are such a wonderful mother. Thank you for being such a wonderful example and being so realistic through the things you share on your blog. I enjoy reading and learning from you. This baby will be blessed to join your home.
ReplyDeleteI KNEW IT!!!!! When you wrote "See, I'm 43-I've been a mom for 18 years and I've raised five children so far" I knew! Oh my goodness, I am so incredibly happy for you and your family. What joy!!

What a LUCKY little one to have you as his/her mommy :) I hope you're feeling well and wish you the best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy. Isn't it nice to be so loved by so many people you've never even met? :) Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI suspected that you were pregnant when I read "...I've raised five children so far." yesterday.
I had number 4 at 41 and number 5 at 43. (So strange because in my 20s and 30s I dealt with stillbirth, m/c and infertility.)
Prayers for you and your little one (and all of your big ones, too)--they must be so excited! This new baby will be SHOWERED with so much love.
So happy for you!! Blessings to you and your little one!!
ReplyDeleteYou don't know me from Eve, but let me add my congratulations!! I'm SO happy for you...and for us as we'll get to follow your blog and your adventures with the new little one. I'm 41 and due with our 10th little one in July. :)
ReplyDeleteAhh, one of the few surprises left in life! I bet there might be one family member wishing for a little sister??? Prayers for a healthy pregnancy for both of you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Your family is so blessed! All of humanity is blessed by this little one! I'd have congratulated you earlier when I sent you the book recommendation in an email, but just now am seeing this.
ReplyDeleteWowsers!!!! You did it!!! I am AMAZED and SO thrilled for you.... slightly jealous too. I love you, you wonderful mama!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I'm thrilled for you all! Praying for everything to go smoothly. Congratulations Sarah!
ReplyDeleteThat is Wonderful!! Congratulations! I know how much the older children will enjoy having a new baby in the house! I hope the summer will be a cool one where you live so it won't be too much of a burden for you.
ReplyDeleteI had one August baby. We lived in Texas and I made the thinnest dresses to wear that summer. Congratulations again and I hope everything goes well for you!!
Congratulations!!! I LOVE your blog and have been a secret reader for a few years. So exciting for you to bring home another baby!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I don't even know you and I just got goosebumps all over my whole body! What an incredible blessing.
ReplyDeleteMy first is just over 2 months old, but I've been reading your blog for at least a year or two in hopeful anticipation of preparing for motherhood (a long journey that ultimately led to adoption). I can't tell you what a source of inspiration and information your writing has been for me and helped me to feel more secure in my mothering at such an insecure time. You and your family will remain in my prayers!
How exciting! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Congratulations!! Delightful... delightful news.
ReplyDeleteYou will be sending your oldest off to college as you welcome your baby!!! As some one who struggles with being "done" having kids.. I find your happy news interesting and inspiring. All the best from Canada!!
Congratulations to you, dear Sarah! May you have an easy and healthy pregnancy! I can't wait to see what it is - boy or girl. You are such a strong woman! Thanks for your example! Kisses!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, everything about it, especially the last post on "I don't know how she does it" and I am so excited for you! I'm pregnant with my fifth (my oldest just turned 6!) so I am excited to read your experiences with a baby at the same time as me. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm over the moon happy for you!! Congratulations, Sarah. I've been in the mom trenches a few years longer than you, but you constantly inspire me and I'm always learning from you. Best wishes to you and your family.

Sarah~ This is the first time I've actually left a comment but have been reading you for a bit. I was still getting over yesterday's inspiring post...you are my reality check. Absolutely love your blog & all the wonderful info you share with us. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAnd then this news!!! So very happy for you & your family. Congratulations! Hugs. Bridget
Beautiful...nothing better to give your children than another sibling. I was #6 and the last and still love it. Our parents are in Heaven now and we have each other - what a gift.
ReplyDeleteI had a baby born on August 20th. God be with you.
Congratulations! What a wonderful blessing. I hope things go well for you and the new babe.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you... and your beautiful family! That is the best news!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I look forward to reading about everything leading up to this announcement and about what's to come!
ReplyDeleteSeconds after I read this, though, I had the oddest reaction. It made me sad! Maybe I'm not done at 5 kids.... (???) I am definitely feeling a tad jealous but also really happy for you and your beautiful family! May God continue to bless you.
Congratulations to you and your family! So exciting. I'm not married yet, but I want to say that as a young Catholic woman you're an inspiration to me for when I have a family.
ReplyDeleteWonderful News! Lucky Baby! :) Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Sarah!! I too noticed the "...raised five kids so far," comment in yesterday's post as well as the one about "adding another baby" and I wondered if you were expecting or if I was reading into things too much.
ReplyDeleteI'd love you to dish on all the details--whether this is a surprise pregnancy or carefully planned, and whether it has been difficult emotionally considering your history--but I know these things can be very private and its really none of my business, so I won't ask you to declare all the details. :-) I have a similar pregnancy history (though my losses were much earlier than yours), and though I do have 4 children and feel like we're done in many ways (medical, emotional, family dynamic, etc), my "mommy heart will always long for another. :-)
Congrats, again, and enjoy!!
Yay!!!! Congratulations!!!! You are two weeks behind me, but this is only our first! Hopefully I will gain your wisdom and experience through your writing. Congratulations times a thousand and baby belly hugs to you. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! If ever there is a Mom who should have more, it is you! I'm a few weeks ahead of you and am expecting at the beginning of July, but this will only be #2 for us. I have a boy the same age as your youngest and have enjoyed the fact that you have mentioned particular toddler stages at the same time that I've been experiencing them. How fun that this will continue...!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, SO excited for you! You're the mom I wish lived next door to me and your kiddos seem so sweet and definitely well-loved. Can't wait to hear your updates over the next few months.
ReplyDeleteI'm another faithful reader who never comments but I just had to say...Congratulations!! So exciting! I'm so happy for your whole family.
ReplyDelete
