1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 2/3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
In a large bowl cream together butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Add chocolate chips. I put the dough in the fridge for about 2 hours.
I wanted to make large cookies, so I used my ice cream scooper to measure and scooped dough onto parchment covered cookie sheets. I flattened each cookie a little before baking.
Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes (keep in mind my oven is fast). Cool before removing from sheets.

Yum! Thank you for this. I am going to have to try this.
ReplyDeleteLooks SO good and I bet they'd be perfect for making ice cream sandwiches with! I did that this weekend with (cringe) store bought cookies.
ReplyDeleteYum! I'll have to try these today...I'm liking the ice cream sandwich idea! Thanks so much for your wonderful recipes!
ReplyDeleteChocolate chip cookies must be the "in thing" right now because I just got another recipe that I tried last night and man alive, it was so good.
ReplyDeleteMy two younger children were overheard saying, "Why can't we just have normal cookies?" I was confused. What is the matter with my cookies? The other child said, "Yeah, mom always puts some healthy crap in her cookies." I had to laugh...I always add oats to cookies that I bake. In their honor I baked two very large batches of cookies without any "healthy crap" in them last night.
These just came out of the oven! Delicious! The texture is perfect. Sometimes chocolate chip cookie recipes are too runny or too dense...love this.
ReplyDeleteI love when you post recipes, I'm making these today! Thanks again for your advice last week!
