Watermelon Lessons
I made a few of the boys tuck this big round watermelon I brought home from the grocery store under their shirts to have a little more understanding of what I feel like every day...and then I made them up pick up their shoes. We all had a good laugh and I could see a little light bulb go off in their heads-that was enough for me-it has to be because of course the lesson wore off before the day was done.

This is awesome. Hope you are feeling good and everything goes well with you for the rest of the pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteHilarious. Ah, you are so wise to give them a dose (even a small dose) of appreciation. Love your darling belly! xo
ReplyDeleteThat is just so sweet to see their giggly faces. Awesome object lesson. You are darling. The only thing "pregnant" about you is your belly. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Exciting times... not long to go! Can't wait to meet the next little one! You look absolutely FAB by the way!

Hope you are keeping well. What a good fun but poignant thing to get the boys to do. It may have been forgotten by the end of the day but I am sure it will be something they will remember in the future.
ReplyDeletei absolutely adore you and your sweet little family. you're in my heart and prayers as a new year of school, college {gasp}, and a sweet baby {become your new norm}...

ReplyDeletelove that sweet belly of yours!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! Just like a little watermelon - do you carry pregnancy anywhere else than your belly?
ReplyDeleteLove this! Especially the picture of you at the end!
ReplyDeleteGood lesson, mama! Way to help them develop empathy. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Cute little belly! Good luck with your last few weeks!
ReplyDeleteI think you are the winner here! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that you had your boys do this! Funniest thing ever... the google ad after this post in my reader said "get rid of belly fat naturally"!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is cute! I'm not sure my boys would do that!
ReplyDeleteI love it.
ReplyDeleteNow if you could only find an elephant to stand on their bladders....just for a bit.
Hilarious! Wish I would have thought of that!
ReplyDeleteFantastic~! Thank you for sharing this with the world. Your posts always give me a smile.
ReplyDeleteLove the last belly photo of yourself too.
My dd will soon be in this state as she too is pregnant. This will be her first child, making me a grandmother. We are all super excited!
What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteYou do look like you have a perfect little watermelon under your shirt. So cute. You look great!!
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious!!
ReplyDeleteYou are my hero :) Yesterday I was telling my husband to imagine having to carry a 30 lb back pack around with him all day long, only the pack is attached to your midsection, not your strong back. He is extremely sympathetic and good to me but that was a light bulb moment for him.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, Sarah. I am so excited to "meet" your precious little one and know if it's a girl or a boy. We are almost there!!
You look amazing! Just wanted to let you know.
ReplyDeleteYou are one of the best moms that I "know" - what a practical way to show your kids how you are feeling! Cannot wait to meet this new baby!
ReplyDeleteYOu really do look amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat tickled me! Thanks for sharing.
