One very early morning Abbey drove herself to the ortho's office and came home with a new and improved and happier than ever smile. Yippee! At last...she waited a long long time to get those braces off and could hardly take it one more minute.
Congrats Abbey!! It must be wonderful to not have to worry about them anymore. You look beautiful.
Speaking of beautiful, I love how, in your pictures on here, you seem to use minimal makeup. It is very fresh looking and super super cute and pretty! I was wondering, what do you use?
I have a daughter Janey's age and am already thinking of when the dreaded day comes she wants to wear makeup. I don't wear any, except the occasional mascara and eyeliner. Any pointers?
Sarah, I love, LOVE, love your site. It brings me smiles and a happy heart when you post about your trials and triumphs. Thank you for the honesty and encouragement.
And I wanted you to know that I just finished "The Kitchen House". I loved every page of it - and unfortunately may have neglected my house and family for a time while I finished it :)
Hooray for Abbey! I had braces for almost 3 years, and when I got them off, I was thrilled. To this day (11 years later), I still find myself running my tongue against my smooth front teeth. :)
When our first baby was placed in my arms I knew there was no place I wanted to be other than home with him every day. Twenty five years, and five more babies later, (six children, now ages 27-7), I still feel the same. I can’t imagine a more challenging, fulfilling, rewarding “job” than being a mom. It truly is a vocation, and I feel blessed beyond measure. See more in About Me tab at top of page.

She looks five years older, like she could be in college. I know that's probably no comfort to you, Sarah, but it's true.
