It's been cold and snowy here, the perfect weather for a Christmas break. Jeff took the older kids skiing and I stayed back for two (short!:) days with Janey-pants and cleaned up after the holiday.
Now we are winding down, and ready to go back to school (I'm sure they are not), but it looks like they might have a few more days off with the storm coming through. I love storms, any kind, they are so exciting.
My friend said the stores were jam-packed with people stocking up food in preparation, and I am grateful I went earlier in the week, but it's funny though-sometimes I think the drama of the storm is a little much-heck this snow/ice/below zero temps-that's all I remember growing up, and we managed somehow without freaking out about it. (But I do need bananas, they are a staple here, so I am going to go today to stock up:)
I haven't picked up my camera much, the story of 2013, and hopefully not of 2014, but here are a few from the week.
Making herself quite comfortable in our bed.
The view from the dining room window.
Zero!
Getting so big!
Not the right kind of storm for the seasons-it smells like spring!
Love the picture of Janey snoozing!
ReplyDeleteI too, remember these storms being the norm growing up...funny isn't it? : )
ReplyDeleteHope you get your bananas and get snuggled back in.
Enjoy, Sarah!
Adorable photo of your baby girl sleeping!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading your posts. Thank you.
I love storms too! As long as I'm cozy in my house...bring it on!!! Loved the photo of Janey. This is the first time I've noticed that she no longer looks like a baby, but a little toddler! So cute!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love storms too! My favorite is to curl up with a good book while there's a thunderstorm going on outside. :) Your little Janey is just precious. That pic of her in the bed is perfection!
ReplyDeleteOh, that first picture. I just love it. I have so many similar ones with my littles. :)
ReplyDeleteThe stores ARE crazy, but I'm stocked up for 2 more days off school as ours has already called off in anticipation. Have you ever heard of such a thing?!
ReplyDeleteAwweeee that first photo is priceless. Such a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big she has gotten! I have been meaning to ask you how you like your hall closet redo… is it working? Our hall closet needs attention, so I was curious...
ReplyDeleteLove a sleeping baby. 000h cold!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of Janey asleep. Cuddling with my little ones has turned out to be one of my very favorite things!
ReplyDeleteShe is growing up so fast !! My new favorite candle is Kitchen Spice...the only downside is everyone expects freshly baked pumpkin bread every day I light it!!

ReplyDeleteThe picture of Janey sleeping is my favorite you have ever posted I think. I love it.
ReplyDeletelove the pic of Janey in your bed…what a blessing!! And I too love the anticipation of a storm…not sure why, but I always have!! We usually have some humdinger thunderstorms in the summer here in Texas and I was always so hyped up as a kid when they came~all that rumbling thunder and terrific lightning!!
ReplyDeleteZERO!!!! We would not know what to do with that here! But,your view from the dining room is amazing! I would love to look out my window just once and see that!
That sweet pic of Janey MADE my Monday! :) An excellent example of, "It doesn't have to be perfect to be Beautiful!".
