Darned Wrist
Dearest Readers-
I miss writing on this blog badly and I miss painting-if I do either-painting or typing, my wrist hurts so badly that I want to chew my arm off. And never have I felt the urge to do more of those two things, which figures.
So I'm saying early,
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you! I hope you each have wonderful days with your families, and when all is said and done, I hope you find an afternoon to hide in the bedroom or the bath or anywhere, and eat some chocolate and read a really good book quietly.
Because I KNOW you deserve it.
And besides, I bet you anything, Mary kicked all those men and smelly animals out of the stable eventually, and said "enough is enough, the star, the gifts, the mooing, I get it, but give me some space and some peace and quiet so I can just BE."
Here's to more time to be!
Love, Sarah

ReplyDeleteGood thought, Sarah!
Prayers and love for a wonderful Christmas season for you and your family.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Sarah! I am so grateful for what you share with all of us and it impacts my mothering daily.... like when I have 1000 things to do to get ready for our triplets’ 4th birthday on Saturday, Christmas 4 days later, and our oldest’s 8th birthday 11 days after that, and we have one kid wrapping up the flu and another one getting started! These bumps in the road (and in our wrists and thermometers...) are SO frustrating, but somehow it all works out, because no matter what, it’s still better than having your newborn in a barn!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Sarah! Thank you for your wisdom.
ReplyDeleteIce that wrist!! Wrap the ice in cloth before applying to wrist. Wear a wrist brace. Make someone else wrap the presents!! (that last is the best idea yet.) Merry Christmas! Thank you for all the gift posts!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and feel better!
