Yes, I love this too. I remember my mom always pointing out pretty sunsets and my dad pointing out how much corn had grown when i was small. They also we're both always inclined to hum or sing a little tune when we drove. I always thought this was just the way of things. I then met kids who weren't familiar at all with a parent singing to them or noticing little things. That's when I realized what a gift it was to be a noticer of the everyday wonders.
When our first baby was placed in my arms I knew there was no place I wanted to be other than home with him every day. Twenty five years, and five more babies later, (six children, now ages 27-7), I still feel the same. I can’t imagine a more challenging, fulfilling, rewarding “job” than being a mom. It truly is a vocation, and I feel blessed beyond measure. See more in About Me tab at top of page.
